Health Coaching

Most of my health coaching clients are mature professional women: executives, business owners or recently retired. They come to me to get help with one of the following issues: to lose weight, eat more healthy, be more active, be more intentional, become more present, drink less, reduce stress, feel more connected, or feel a sense of life purpose.

Motivational Interviewing is a research based coaching technique that I employ. It is used to help clients uncover their unique skills and internal motivation for accomplishing their personal health and wellness goals.

My work with health coaching clients is also based on the extensive research about health promoting behaviors from Blue Zones and from e-Cornell Plant Based Nutrition Certificate Program based on the China Study. And finally, I draw on the work of Carl Jung who was fascinated by the spiritual side of Psychology and concerned with the connection to and expression of one's deepest self or soul.

Consultation

Most of my consultation clients have a question or concern that they want to run by an experienced professional and want guidance on how to proceed. They are not usually interested in a ongoing coaching relationship but need an experienced professional's take on their unique life's circumstance and problem. This can be a one time consultation or a few more as needed. There is no long term commitment when using this service.

Mental Wellness Coaching

Most of my mental wellness coaching clients are smart, driven, high functioning professionals who are struggling with a life stressor that has become to difficult to manage on their own. They do not meet the conditions for a clinical mental health diagnosis. They are simply struggling with a curve ball that life has thrown their way.

My job is to provide effective strategies for dealing with the issue at hand so they can quickly get their life back on track.

When addressing such stressors I draw on cognitive-behavioral psychology, mindfulness, positive psychology, and use a strength-based approach. This essentially means that the focus is on changing one's behavior and one's mental perceptions in order to resolve the problem at hand.

Happy Clients

Chris is AWESOME! She has given me pragmatic tools so I may achieve my best life. Her positive approach is infectious. You can't help but implement it into your own personal "homework."  While some therapists just listen and give you a little advice, Chris will hold you accountable from session to session... that's the way a life coach should work.

Highly recommended if you are looking to improve yourself and achieve

results for the best you EVER!

Christine felt like a wise guide during our time together. Each session immediately picked up where the last had ended.  She never missed a beat.  She was never arbitrarily prescriptive, but instead gave me assignments that seemed to spring naturally from my own self-knowledge. I am so grateful for our time together and am keeping her in my toolbox, in case I feel in the future that I could use a little "tune-up."

I would recommend her, without reservation, to anyone in search of a fantastic coach.

Chris takes a very straightforward, no-nonsense approach.  She is great about guiding and providing some direction. She is not one of those therapists that just sits back and only listens. She is about providing tools and holds you accountable.  I have never felt judged by her and feel like she has been great about calling both my husband and I on our BS.

I highly recommend Chris for couples or individual.  I have done both and found each to be very helpful in resolving both immediate and some more long term issues/patterns.
