Christine R. Wylde, M.A.
L.M.H.C., is a seasoned psychotherapist, personal coach, and small business
owner based in Seattle, Washington. For the past fifteen years she has
provided professional help to adult individuals and couples. In that time
she has logged over 10,000 client hours. She is known as a leader in the
local mental health community and is well respected among her professional
peers. She is a State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Clinical Member
of the American Counseling Association, a Clinical Member of the International
Association of Marriage and Family Counselors, a Clinical Member of the
Association for Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Issues in Counseling, a Member
of the International Coach Federation, and a Member of the Puget Sound
Coach Association.
Prior to starting BestLives.com Christine was a Founding
Member, Managing Partner and Senior Clinician for Low Cost Therapy Associates,
LLC, an association of private practice psychotherapists who provide a
portion of their therapy services for a reduced fee. Christine also worked
as a HIV/AIDS Mental Health Specialist at Seattle Counseling Services,
an intake counselor and psychotherapist at Family Services Corporate Employee
Assistance Program, as an inpatient therapist at Northwest Evaluation
and Treatment Center, and as an HIV Test counselor at the Seattle Gay
Clinic.
Christine graduated from college with Magna Cum Laude
honors. She earned a double major in Psychology and Philosophy from Chapman
University, received the Philosophy Student of the Year Award, and was
listed in Who's Who in American Colleges. She went on to earn her Masters
of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch University Seattle.
She has continued her education by participating in advanced clinical
trainings.
Christine is a very active person. When she is not working you can find
her backpacking in the wilderness with her wife, Karen, gardening in her backyard, or performing music. In fact, her musical
talent earned her a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts
and the Washington Artist Trust Music Fellowship.
